Daily classes will be offered to establish and emphasize character development, healthy living, mentorship and educational support. Healthy cooking classes, baking classes and wellness classes will be offered to not only educate individuals on everyday skills but provide an opportunity for families to learn together.
We organize workshops, seminars and events that focus on parenting, marriage enrichment and family dynamics. In addition, counseling services and group sessions will be available for a broad range of issues within the family.
We anticipate collaborating with local organizations and churches to address the needs of vulnerable families through food drives, clothing distribution and community service projects.
Tutoring and homework assistance will be provided daily in our afterschool program for ages 8-18 to make sure students are completing their assignments successfully. Adult education workshops will be offered on financial management, job readiness, and assistance with enhancing employment opportunities or business development.
We anticipate partnering with Penn Foster online to offer adults the opportunity to earn their high school diploma. In this area, we will partner with local schools, colleges and universities to access resources, expertise, and student volunteers for continued collaboration and shared facility usage if possible.
Through social gatherings, community projects and partnerships, recreational activities and fellowship opportunities we anticipate to foster a sense of belonging and pride in the community, which will create a bond of connection and ownership to enhance the protection of the community. Our programs encourage intergenerational and multicultural interactions within the community.
TFI offers a weekly “Sweet Conversation Chat and Chew" night where international and multicultural communities of people are welcomed to relax, chat, play games and are served free dinner and dessert! We discuss how we can become a better community based on what each person is learning from their local churches. We discuss how we can take what we learn and apply it in our everyday lives in the schools, jobs, businesses and assisting in the betterment of the community.
Our mission during these studies are geared towards Support, Restoration, and Building up healthy families which leads to better community! 1 Timothy 5:8 and multiple scriptures in the Bible stresses the important of care and love that we should have for our own families - “If anyone fails to provide for his own, and especially for those of his own family, he has denied the faith [by disregarding its precepts] and is worse than an unbeliever [who fulfills his obligation in these matters] . Our first interaction in life is with family, and it shapes who we become, how we deal with others and what beliefs we see lived out amongst our mother, father, sister or brother. If we can focus on strengthening this area alone with biblical sound principles we believe that it will mend broken relationships, prepare singles for healthy marriages and meaningful interactions. In addition it is our desire to establish the principle of honor within the community by teaching on the value of respect, responsibility for self and others and encouragement to serve one another.
